Thursday Challenge—"joyful" (#2)

My kids on Christmas Day 1984,
holding the one gift they really, really
wanted and were so happy to receive—from
my mother.  I never did completely understand
the
appeal of those Cabbage Patch Kids.

  1. I feel downright archaic when I realize that some of them are old enough now to have their own grandpatch kids.

Your daughters certainly didn’t go for the twins look. A striking sisterhood of individuality.

The so-desired gifts may have long passed along, but L & K will always have the remembrance of them having been given on that joyful Christmas day nearly 32 years ago.

  2. Oh, the cabbage patch dolls. Was it marketing?
